SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- First Republic Bank (NYSE:FRC), a leading private bank and wealth management company, today announced the formation of a Community Advisory Board to help guide the bank's community outreach and reinvestment initiatives.
The mission of the Community Advisory Board is to further strengthen First Republic's fair lending and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) programs for low-to-moderate income and underserved minority communities. Members of the Community Advisory Board will offer advice and strategic guidance on the bank's initiatives focused on affordable housing, small business and economic development, and financial empowerment.
First Republic today also announced the appointment of five initial community leaders to the Community Advisory Board. They are:
- Faith Bautista, President and Chief Executive Officer, National Asian American Coalition (NAAC), and Chief Executive Officer, National Diversity Coalition (NDC). Bautista will serve as Board chair.
- John Hope Bryant, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Operation HOPE
- Janice Jensen, President and Chief Executive Officer, Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley
- Robert Monzon, President, Montebello Housing Development Corporation (MHDC)
- Claudia Viek, Chief Executive Officer, California Association of Micro Enterprise Opportunity (CAMEO)
